We’re a non-profit, Vancouver-based charity currently employing 10 staff. Our vision is to celebrate and transform the lives of queer people through innovative, engaging, and relevant programs. To do that, we’re looking to expand and grow. We need someone to lead the way!
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for providing the strategic leadership of the organization in achieving our vision and goals.
As Executive Director, you will:
- Lead the overall operation of The Center’s programs and services
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders and the community to further develop programs and services
- Provide effective human resource management of staff and volunteers
- Create and deliver an annual fundraising development plan
- Manage a budget of approximately $500,000
- Act as the organization’s principal spokesperson and representative
- Be a visionary for the queer community
The qualifications required for this position include: a minimum of 3 to 5+ years’ experience in a senior non-profit management position; significant administrative experience, including managing staff, volunteers, and finances; demonstrated ability to fundraise through corporate sponsorships, private and government grants, individual giving, and special events; demonstrated experience in marketing; excellent communication skills; and superior organizational skills with an eye for detail. Preference will be given to those with experience in capital campaigns.
